The Designer, Ira Hickman, is a long time Tri-City resident. He is devoted to his family and also volunteers as a Boy Scout Leader through his church. His three adult children have all worked in his business as well as his wife Leslie who does interior design and consults on many of his prints. He has had a lifelong association with building, beginning his career working in various construction trades through high school, college and graduate school then returning to the industry as a general contractor after working in science for several years. He began investing in real estate in the Tri-Cities in 1993 and has experienced its various markets as a contractor, developer, and designer. He began designing homes ten years ago and has focused on design as a priority for the last five, moving away from production building. Consulting with builders and homeowners to create extraordinary homes is now his primary pursuit. Combining the art and science of design is his greatest strength. He also takes pride in staying connected to projects after the prints are complete, regularly visiting jobsites to consult on specific construction challenges. He enjoys helping both homeowners and builders, and is eager to share information gained over many years relating to design, costs, and project management.
